rai-santa-2009

SEWELL, NJ (December 29, 2009) — ‘Twas two days before Christmas when all through the hall, Ray Angelini Inc. (RAI) employees wrapped gifts to answer the call.

They spoke not a word, and continued their works, loading a truck for five needy families to deliver the perks.

They donated funds and a company match, in hopes that the 2nd Annual RAI Christmas Wish Campaign would bring joy to the batch: 15 children, ages two to 21, and their parents.

In all, 37 employees donated $1,355 to the campaign, with $250 from a single donor and family—bravo, give them champagne!

With a truck full of toys and St. Nicholas, too, the bigheartedness of RAI and its employees really came through.

BACKGROUND

In 2008, the 1st Annual RAI Christmas Wish Campaign raised enough funds to benefit one large South Jersey family designated by the Deptford NJ School District. This year, the five families were designated once again by the School District, as well as SODAT of New Jersey, a Woodbury-based non-profit drug/alcohol outpatient agency. Each family received a $150 Acme Markets gift card, a $50 Target gift card, plus clothes, toys, and games. In addition, Target’s Sewell, NJ store donated two $25 gift cards to the cause. Founded in 1974 by Raymond J. Angelini, RAI, a commercial solar design build and electrical contracting and testing firm, is recognized as one of the region’s 2009 Best Places to Work, sponsored by Philadelphia Business Journal.

The dead of winter is … Solar Time!

Thanks to a number of factors working together, commercial solar in New Jersey is once again an economic winner.  And now is a great time to get started.

Prices of systems have fallen and the value of NJ SRECs has risen.  That makes the financial analysis work easily.

Have you looked at solar in the past?  For whatever reason, you decided not to go ahead?  Take another look…you may find that the time is right.  Let Ray Angelini, Inc. (RAI) show you how solar can help you reduce your energy costs and show your environmental awareness.  We’ve been helping area businesses go solar for 9 years.  Please call us today at 856.228.5566.

Ray Angelini, Inc. Spotlights 290,000 Sq. Ft. Single-Roof Solar Array At EcoBuild America

SEWELL, NJ (December 8, 2009)—Ray Angelini, Inc, (RAI), a commercial solar design build and electrical contracting and testing firm, is featuring the Atlantic City Convention Center Solar Array—one of the largest single-roof power array installations in the country—in its exhibit at the annual Ecobuild America® conference and exhibition, open today through Thursday, December 10, 2009, at the Washington Convention Center, Washington D.C.

RAI completed the 2.36-megawatt rooftop solar power system in December 2008, which covers two-thirds of the main convention center roof or about 290,000 sq. ft. and consists of 13,486 solar panels.

A total savings of nearly $4.4 million in electricity costs is expected over the 20-year power purchase agreement between the convention center and PEPCO.  In addition, the generation of renewable energy will reduce carbon dioxide emissions in the atmosphere by approximately 2,349 tons, which is equivalent to the emissions spewed from 390 passenger vehicles on the road in a year or the consumption of 4,956 barrels of oil per year.

Other projects completed by RAI include the Epuron-Exelon Solar Energy Field, Morrisville, PA—a 3 megawatt fixed ground array consisting of 17,160 photovoltaic modules on a 16-acre site.

Currently, RAI is working with the Government Services Administration (GSA) on site at the Veteran’s Administration Center, Philadelphia, PA to provide a new Energy Star-rated roof and solar array, a project that is the direct result of GSA’s commitment to green design and construction and the agency’s American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

Founded in 1974 by Raymond J. Angelini, RAI is recognized as one of the region’s 2009 Best Places to Work sponsored by Philadelphia Business Journal.
