As Chief Operating Officer (COO), Jason Kaplan is primarily responsible for the areas of operations, finance, accounting, and the Solar Division of Ray Angelini, Inc. (RAI).
Jason joined RAI full-time in 2007 as a project manager in the Communications and Electrical
Divisions, and managed a variety of challenging projects, including the Lancaster County Convention Center, Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square, and Kennedy Hospital ICU and OR projects. Jason has been a key team member in the Solar Division, where he managed solar projects for a wide variety of clients including Federal (GSA’s Veterans Affairs Center, PANYNJ’s FedEx EWR), Municipal (Mainland Regional HS, Gloucester Township Schools), and Commercial (Hidden Creek Golf Club, NRG Headquarters, Urban Outfitters). Since 2011, Jason has been responsible for various segments of RAI Operations, including business development, project management and estimating. Jason first joined RAI in 1998 as an estimating assistant, and worked summers as a laborer in the Electrical Division.
Prior to joining RAI, Jason was the maintenance manager of International Paper’s Beverage
Packaging Facility in Framingham, MA, where he led a team of 10 engineers, mechanics
and support staff. Jason had responsibility for P&L, capital projects, and implementation of lean
manufacturing methodology in the converting and flame-sealing processes. After completing
an extensive Manufacturing Associate Program, wherein he worked to improve process capabilities, facilitate manufacturing process improvements, and develop knowledge of and monitor key manufacturing metrics, Jason became a member of the facility leadership team. In this role, Jason was able to deliver significant cost efficiencies, increase production uptime, manage risk, and execute change management projects.
Jason has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University,
and received his EIT certification from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Jason and his family reside in New Jersey.
