Philadelphia 76s Practice Facility
Electrical Contracting Project

Ray Angelini, Inc. (RAI) was the primary electrical contractor during the construction of the Philadelphia 76ers basketball team’s new practice facility on the waterfront in Camden, New Jersey, the largest in the National Basketball Association (NBA) at time of completion. Responsible for all electrical-related installations, from the incoming main electrical service to the lights and electrical outlets, RAI electricians installed 13.5 miles (71,600 feet) of conduit, 26.5 miles (140,000 feet) of building wire, 19 miles (100,000 feet) of metal clad cable and 1,790 LED lighting fixtures at the practice facility. All with no OSHA recordable injuries.

The 125,000-square-foot complex includes two regulation-size basketball courts, a 2,800-square-foot player locker room, and rooms for wellness, recovery and hydrotherapy. Other amenities, specifically for the players and front-office staff, include a restaurant and film/press room. The Philadelphia team competes in the NBA as a member club of the league’s Eastern Conference Atlantic Division.
