Van Zant and Beeler Elementary Schools Renewable Energy Project

Ray Angelini, Inc. (RAI) partnered with the Evesham Township Board of Education in an effort to reduce the district’s energy costs and completed a more than 690,000 kilowatt-hour solar energy project at the Van Zant and Beeler Elementary Schools. The solar energy systems are expected to reduce the district’s carbon footprint by 926,571 pounds per year, equivalent to powering 77 homes and 5,920 light bulbs in a year.

The project, completed in December during the holiday season, inspired the school students to write and perform a song for RAI employees to the tune of Christmas carol, “Up On The Rooftop”.

Lyrics by Evesham Township elementary school students:

Up on the rooftop, Hammering a nail, Out come workers who never fail
Up with solar panels, For the sun, All for the little ones To have school fun!
Bang! Bang! Bang! With the gang! Boom, Boom! Boom! It shakes our room!
Up on the rooftop, Fill! Fill! Fill! With solar panels, Drill! Drill! Drill!
